My name is Debora, I was born in central Italy.

I graduated in social science in 2006 and I have always been just as passionate about human relations as about the wonderful Italian language, my mother tongue, the language so loved by millions of people all over the world.

From an early age I paid attention to my pronunciation and I began to nourish a great interest in correct diction.

Since my first school years, the Italian subject and literature has always been my absolute favorite subject and I have always reported excellent grades, including in grammar. 

In 2006, after graduating, I travelled to Australia for a life experience, where I worked as an italian teacher for a year, both in primary school as well as in various colleges and private schools for adults.

During this work experience, I discovered my great passion for Italian teaching.

After further training, I decided to found "La Dolce Lingua Italiana", a school that with dedication and patience, helps infuse love for the Italian language to foreigners. 

I am convinced that in a relaxed environment, where people feel at ease and no one feels judged, instead respected and motivated in their way of learning, everyone can learn, at any age. I still fondly remember my first individual student, Val, who at the age of 75, decided to contact me for Italian lessons despite having never studied it before. That lady so motivated and determined to learn, instilled in me even more the conviction that no one can say that it is too late to learn a new language. Surprisingly after just over a year, Val and I had meaningful conversations only in Italian. It has been 12 years since then and I have had the privilege of accompanying hundreds of people on this journey. As I have been saying since the first lesson, it can be long and sometimes difficult, but the journey is worth all the effort!
